Some Things Are Cheap For a Reson

This one in particular, a costume that changes the wearer.

Suzy has found it in the costume bin at the newly opened thrift store. It looked brand new, and they only wanted ninety-nine cents for it. Wondering how a new giraffe costume would end up at the thrift store, she purchased it and went home. When she got home Suzy decided to wear it and surprise her husband. While attending to chores her neck suddenly began to ache and she felt disoriented. She sat down and closed her eyes.  It was like someone was trying to pull her head off. Almost as sudden as it pain started, it stopped.

She opened her eyes, it seemed she was sitting higher than normal. Suzy stood up and again was greeted by the same feeling of being higher. She walked over to the mirror, watching her feet the entire way, wondering why the floor seemed further away than it had moments ago. Looking into the mirror she couldn't see her head, stepping back until she could, suzy was greeted with a peculiar sight.

Suzy couldn't believe it, it looked as though someone had stretched  out her neck. She ran her hands over her neck, they didn't stop where they should have. Tilting her head from side to side she tested the flexibility of her new neck. It finally dawned on her that it have been the costume that changed her. Making sure not to hit her head, that only took once to find out that would hurt, she made her way to the bedroom

With the costume removed she began to redress in her previous attire. Standing in front of the bedroom mirror Suzy waited for the change to reverse, nothing happened. Disappointed, she folded the costume and returned it to its bag. Thankfully, her husband was a tall man and their cars still had plenty of head room for the poor woman. She drove to find the thrift  again, return the costume, and hope they could return her to normal.

Suzy thought this was the place, but where the store was only an hour ago sat a vacant lot. Freaking out she drove home. Home once more, she waited in the bedroom for the return of her husband. Thinking it might ease the surprise of his changed wife, Suzy once again donned the cursed costume. She waited to see if any thing else would change. To her relief, nothing did.

Returning home the husband was shocked by the sight of his wife. Suzy showed him the garment and told him the sory of what happened.  Eventually they both grew to accept the change, she loved the necking during sex, and he loved that his wife was now just as tall as he was. She even wears the giraffe costume on Halloween, bemusing all who see her.

I Scalped My Car

I've know for some time now that the roof had some holes in it. I noticed the other day that the no-longer-fancy vinyl/fabric top of the car had deteriorated beyond my maximum laziness threshold. It was probably time I did something about the holes in my roof. When I removed the material, I found the holes were more numerous and larger than I had thought. Most were small, others were large enough to stick fingers through.

I used that metallic expoxy/putty stuff that comes in a stick and you break off a chunk and knead it. I won't lie, that stuff is a bitch to use, but I was getting at least somewhat proficient at using it. After the holes were covered a shitty sand job came next. I really didn't bother to remove all of the cover's adhesive and fibers that stuck to the remaining adhesive. Next I taped the trim on the car and then the windows. I chose to just primer it, as I really didn't care about how it looks, just more of preventing further rust.

All in all, it was kinda fun, and it cost less than $30. One of these days I need to replace the car, as it is 30 years old, and it will only continue to deteriorate. Heh! If ever quit spending money on it I could do that!

Skull Tatt Redux

I think I've finally decided on what my next tattoo will be.

Also I've come up with a super simple way to see what a tattoo would look like before having it done.
It helps if it is a B&W image, But you basically just print it off at the size you think you want, using transparency film.
proto-tatt next to my batman for comparison

I want to say that you can by print at home temporary tattoos, like the ones that come from the sticker machines, but I'm not a 100% on that

Rapture!

Phew! that was close! Thankfully Randy Macho-Man Savage sacrificed himself to save us all. The word is that Randy put Jesus is a headlock and force-fed him Slim-Jims until he became bloated with constipation. Jesus has given up this idea of judgment, for now at least. Thankfully Chuck Norris is still here to protect us from Jesus.

Bleach Stencil Shirt

Plus

Equals

This is the third design I've done, the other two being a companion cube, and the master chief.
Since this stencil is cardboard it is only good for 3-4 shirts or so.

Almost Free Light Box

I found the plastic thing in the trash the other day. I have no idea what it was or went to originally. I got the CFL light from work about three years ago. I got the screws and the turnbuckle things from Home Depot. The paper is just plain printer paper held in place with tape. On the bottom are two strips cut from a self assemble mouse pad. They came from work as well, we used to make mouse pads. The light is held in place with those twist ties that come with the trash bags. The screws really just keep it from collapsing.

Feel free to ask any questions

Skull Tattoo

I already have one tattoo, I got it just over a year ago. It was a batman of my own design. Now I want another.
I've been working on a skull tattoo. At first I thought I'd want an anatomically correct skull, but that has passed. Now I want a more simple skull.

These are not my final choices, but merely mid-points on the way to my finished project. Any feed back is appreciated.

High Rise Desk

My desk is now 3 feet tall. I got the square tubing from work, it used to be part of something on a display case. I drilled and widened the holes to accept the mounting brackets. Dremel makes this little spiral cutting bit that made the hole widening go real fast. Then I jacked up my desk and changed the legs. I also transferred the little leveling feet from the old legs.

The diagram was my original plan to raise my desk, I never tried it as I dont own a table or even a miter saw

I'm Walking Here

They gave us these pedometers at work. I've worn mine the last three days. Apparently I do a lot more walking than I thought. According to the meter I walked about 13 miles over the past three days! I figured that I've been walking at about 1-3/4 miles per hour.
